1)

Luna rocks. And I just love her rendition of Usagi. I guess my age is showing since I never grew out of my Sailor Moon phase.

2)

I have such a crush on Psych. It is quite literally one of the best shows EVER. I'm one of those annoying people who makes all my friends and family watch the seasons on DVD.

3)

Romeo and Juliet. It's definitely one of those movies you can only watch so often because you (and by that I mean me) end up bawling by the end of the movie, not to mention shouting at the screen hoping that will change the outcome.

4)

My clueless little monkey. Sometimes there's just nothing to do but look befuddled with your mouth wide open hoping people will leave you alone...or give you donuts!

5)

Huzzah! The first IchiHime icon I ever had. I didn't start getting into Bleach pairings until last December. What blissfully ignorant times those were. Here I am minding my own business watching Bleach for the cool fights and characters when bam, Orihime's confession happens and I was like Romance?! When did that happen? But then I read the manga and just became more and more addicted to this pairing. Unfortunately, it comes with a plethora of negativity coming my way for no reason other than I like something different. I didn't sign on for this baggage! Nevertheless, I love them as a couple even if they never happen. ^_^

This will be the only post I make about the upcoming election so bear with me.

As a self-confessed moderate, this election leaves a lot to be desired. The extremes on both (dominant) sides is disheartening. And then I have people breathing down my neck that if I don't like either candidate, I should vote third party and not fall into the line of thinking "vote for the lesser of two evils." Well that's a nice thought and while I'd love to vote for a third party candidate or even better write in for Ron Paul, I feel that it is irresponsible to allow the candidate that I feel most strongly against (and who I personally feel will do the most damage) to be voted into office.

Personally, I feel that neither the Democrat or Republican candidate will do a good job on the most important issues facing America: the Iraq war, economy and the deficit, etc. So honestly, I feel like it's a toss up with both of them concerning those. So I choose to focus on a smaller issue that directly relates to me and which I firmly believe each candidate is very clear on their position and WILL follow through on: women's reproductive options.

I completely respect the opinion of those who oppose abortion but there’s something that I can’t understand about McCain-Palin. I hear the argument that the problem is that people just need to be more responsible. And I will agree that it’s horrible when I see reckless females AND males behaving irresponsibly and then not owning up to the consequences, not just with this issue but in all aspects in life. But I don't agree that the governement should make such a personal important decision for you.

What is mind-boggling to me about McCain-Palin is that not only are they "pro-life" but they (at least Palin) support abstinence only being taught in schools which I honestly don’t think works well at all. And here is where this gets very personal to me, McCain has voted AGAINST requiring insurance companies to cover birth control. How is teaching abstinence only and making it harder for people to get birth control going to help people make responsible decisions so that they are never in a position to even consider abortion/adoption?

Limiting access to birth control/contraceptives doesn’t just effect “teens with raging hormones” it effects responsible women like myself who are trying to prevent pregnancy until they feel they are in a financial and emotional place where they can give that child the best life they can. It effects even married couples who are already supporting their children comfortably and one more would put them under right now. I can understand why someone would be anti-abortion but I cannot understand how some can support someone who is trying to make it harder to PREVENT pregnancy.

Whatever you decide this year, please be an informed voter and check out the facts on all the candidates http://factcheck.org/

Tropic Thunder was hilarious! Stiller's best film even though Downey easily upstages the rest of the cast (although I am very fond of pandas in furry parkas even though they were absent from the film). Yes, I have a ridiculous sense of humor and that's the way I like it.

So I'm taking my first accounting class to see if I want to pursue a Master's in it and so far I'm boooreeed. It doesn't seem that difficult although I feel like an idiot when I look around and no one's using calculators to work out multiplying fractions and interest rates. How do they calculate so quickly?!

This summer is going to be crazy life changing time...not for me (I'm as stable boring as ever) but for my important people. My best friend (I always feel so high school saying that) is leaving to teach in Japan in July. Even though I'm really excited for my friend to have this opportunity, my selfish side is on super worry mode because she's my last friend in this city since everybody left after graduating. And the thought of trying to go out there and meet new people is frickin frightening. I have no idea how to even start...every friend I made at college was purely accidental and through no charm or social grace of my own. But I suppose the other thing happening this summer will probably cushion the blow some. My mom and little brother are moving up here to Tally from Miami. I've been trying to convince her for years to come up so she can stop paying ridiculous rent prices and now that my little brother is graduating high school, she finally caved. ^_^ I'm totally not a mama's girl :P but it will be very nice to be able to see her more than once a year at Christmas.

And what the heck, is there a certain age when a girl's Martha Stewart gene kicks in? I swear, I have always been a-okay with cheap, mismatching furniture and not putting much on the walls or anything like that. Now, I want to redecorate the whole living room and make it purty. I want everything to match and look really chic and cool looking. I'm saying words like "chic"....help me!

I have all sorts of (semi)harmless plots going on in my head. I need balloons, pop rocks, and duct tape. *evil grin*

The conference was okay...I felt all proper and business-like which makes me realize that I'm some kind of quasi-adult. Which makes me wonder if my co-workers actually know how ridiculous I am. Which leads me to letting go of a big part of my college days...I finally took down my website because I was afraid that my pervy site would be discovered at work...I don't want to try explaining video game vibrators or murderous, thieving squirrels.

And you know, being in my almost mid twenties sucks. I still can't rent a car without being charged double for it. My family keeps harassing me about when D-chan and I are going to get engaged/married/breed monsters. I am nowhere near getting my masters degree already like I thought I would by now...heck, I can't even decide on what I want to get a master's in. And all those lying bastards that said my acne would clear up by the time I was 22 can suck an elf! *angrily dots concealer on face*

Man, I have been feeling so blahhhhhh lately. I need to get back to a regular routine and catch up on things. I've been neglecting people and hobbies and becoming more obsessive about frivolous things. -_- And work has been so busy lately...I just want to do nothing once I get home. On the bright side for work I'm going to a conference later this month in Orlando. And I have my own hotel room! Huzzah!
